{Outfits} Oversized Coats vs. Petite Girls

Tis the season for oversized coats!  With the weather continuing to stay in near freezing temperatures, I have been grabbing a large coat as an everyday outfit that is chic and comfortable.  The oversized coat is quite popular this season and I love it because it’s so easy to wear.  Just throw it on top of all your winter basics in your closet and you’re good to go.

As much as I love the oversized coat, I can understand why petite girls might think that it’s a tough trend to adopt.  The key is to find a piece that is of medium length preferably over the knee.  I try to pick lighter but refined materials, like this 100% wool coat,  and avoid chunky embellishments like big collars or pockets.  Instead, keep it simple.  As intimidating as large coats can be, petite girls fear not - it’s possible and such a simple option, so enjoy it while you can!
