{Brand Discovery} St.John Knits
I have been a huge fan of St. John Knits' Blazer ever since I stole a classic St. John jacket from my mom. Then I bought my very first blazer from St. John couple years back and it fits so well that I got so compliments from people whenever I wore it (a blog here). Though the brand is very well known for its luxurious quality, it does give me an impression of it being somewhat 'old school classic' meaning I only get a few classic piece from them and styled it with the younger looking pieces such as a plain white T-shirt and ripped jeans. But, the recent New Standard Collection caught my attention. They look comfortable, chic and office appropriate at a lower price point! Perfect for the young sophisticated crowd.
As many of you know, I always spend Christmas back home in LA. I still can't believe how LA can be at 70 sth Fahrenheit in winter, sometimes it even peaked to 80s. luckily, I left all my coats behind in NYC and went home with all resort-ready wardrobe. I went to Palm Spring for a short vacation and found this super cool Imperial Sand Dunes southeast of LA, almost touching Mexico. My post about the white sand national monuments from last year was a popular one! I have seen so many friends went and enjoyed it! (blog post here) If you live in SoCal, you can drive down there within 2-3 hours. It looks like the Sahara desert! This St.John powder velvet jumpsuit has been a great companion. I like its elegant yet easy vibe, which I think it's perfect for relaxation in style.
